UAID “TSVEET of the Nation” grant in support of the Kobzar’s mission.

Uaid International has awarded Jurij Fedynskyj a grant in the sum of £200 towards the Kobzar’s mission to enhance mastery and understanding of the kobzar tradition both in Ukraine and worldwide.

For the past 12 years, Jurij Fedynskyj has worked to resurrect the traditional Ukrainian torban, bandura and kobza, after Soviet attempts to erase all memory of the instruments, players, and traditions related thereof.

Thanks to Jurij and the kobzars armada's superhuman efforts, Ukraine has a much better chance to preserve its traditions and forge its modern music culture.
